It's not surprising if someone cannot play baseball. But it will be surprising if it's because someone is too good to play. It's more surprising that this is HAPPENING.
Baseball is a sport game and every game has its rule. If someone broke it then he got penalty. Otherwise, it's not reasonable. Jericho didn't break any single rule so there's no reason not letting him play. It's really ridiculous not to let Jericho play just because he's too good. If so, all the other swimmers have an excuse to have Michael Phelps out of the Olympics this summer.
Telling a 9-year-boy that he is too good to do something he likes is really cruel. 9-year-old, it's a crucial time for a child to explore and develop his own interest. It's quite important for a child to establish his confident which is of great significance on his later life. However, now the League is doing the opposite. The controversy hurts Jericho and he felt it was his fault nobody could play. This kind of thought is fatal to a child's psychological health. It's not exaggerating to say the League is ruining a child and committing a crime.
So, maybe it's OK to let Jericho play in a different league or something, if he agrees. But it always be wrong to not let him play.
