punishment for her

It is hard to tell whether this woman should get punish or not. Lose baby is very harmful to a mom, every mom love their baby, yes there are little chance not. I think she is one of the not. It is so odd how could she forget her own baby and left baby in car for eight hour? That don't make sence. I really don't believe it. This woman must be very careless her baby. For that reason this woman must get punish. Go to jail is a good ideal for her. That make she knowns why she is her and how fool she was. That will also give alert for those careless mom. Don't think lose child by accident will be a excuse for her.

Harm but not a punishment

It’s harsh for me to make a simple decision to judge whether the mother should be sentenced to jail or not. Losing one’s own child by accident can not be simply measured by the law, where between the Mom and the baby are too many emotions. Of course, I confess that from the professional law perspective, the mom’s behavior has already broken the law and even not on purpose. If that, we can easily put the mom into prison without any question. But, I am sure the accident will bring the horrible memory for the mom for the whole rest of life, which is the biggest difference from other crimes. So, to this issue, I don’t want to make a simple judge, but to say, in the world are many things we can not value and judge just from the reason.

Loss of child as punishment?

It is not easy to decide whether to send a mother that has left her child in a car in the summer to jail or not. Honestly, I'm not even sure what I would do if I were the judge.
Obviously the mother did not kill her baby on purpose, or wanted him any harm. Not only did she lose her child, but even worse, it was her own fault, and she will have to deal and live with that guilt for the rest of her life. Therefore I understand why some people think that an additional punishment is not necessary
On the other hand, however, being a mother involves a lot of responsibility, which the mother in this case obviously lacked. How could you possibly "forget" about your own child?? How much attention do you pay to your child if you don't notice it in your back seat? Looking at it from this perspective, the mother committed a crime; because an infant is absolutely helpless, it relies on its mother. However, the mother in this case failed in her "job" as a mom. If a mother cares so little about and for her child to simply forget it was in the car, she shouldn't even be a mother, and deserves punishment.
After all I think there are good arguments to sentence a mother like that to jail time, as well as not to. However, I think the police should also research whether the woman was usually a good mother, or if there had been more incidents already.

To error is human, to correct is humane

This case is not a sheer tragedy to me. Suppose there is a law that inquires parents can not leave their babies in the car, could Nesselroad-Slaby be so careless to lock her baby in the care and what’s more unbelievable to me, forget the thing totally? It is just because people lack of the awareness of leaving baby in the car without attendance could possibly lead to its death that causes the tragedy. What’s important is not weather the careless mom should be punished or not, but what can we can do to avoid such kind of thing happen again. If there is anyone should be blame of, I suggest it should be the unsounded law. “To error is human, to forgive is Devine.” If this is true, then I argue that to error is human, to correct is humane.

maybe some other punishment for her?

When I hear this news, first things came to my mine is this woman should go to jail with out a doubt. Come on we talking about a human, not some animal, a life cute 2-years old baby girl, but event it is an animal they have punishment for that too. I am furious, no parent should make this kinds mistake, if you do so it only mean you don’t care enough you children. Of cause there are some reasons why this woman makes this mistake, but that did not give her a reason to stay out of “punishment.” For now I was concerned is what will happen to her family and her daughter. No child will have happy childhood with out a mother. Any way in my personal point is if go to is jail is not a very good choice for this family, maybe some other punishment for her.

Dilemmatic Situation

In the news, the mother left her baby in a locked car for eight hours, which leads to the death of the baby. Some pople believe that she should get the jail time, while others claim that the death od her child is punishment enough. It is really a dilemmatic situation. Personally speaking, I insist that the mother should be tried.
For one thing, it is her lapse that makes the baby die. She should be pubnished by law though she has been punished of losing her child. She is the guardian of her child. Therefore, the mother is fully responsible for protecting the child except the accident. But it is obvious that her neglifence causes this tragedy. So I hold the view that the mother should be tried to receive proper punishment.
Also, in the past 10 years, there have been many similar cases happened and most people have been charged for their lapses. Under this circumstance, there is no reason allows the mother to escape from the punishment of the law. And it can warn people of being more careful about their babies as well.
Based on all above, I think the mother should be tried and receive proper punishment but taking her sadness of losing daughter into account.

Guilt is punishment for herself

I was shocked by this news at first sight. I can not believe the tragic story which is made by a mother. Meanwhile i was angry with this stupid mother when i read beginning of this news, because she was so reckless that lead death of her baby. I am just wondering if she does not love her baby, why does she give birth to baby. But now i change my attitude to this poor mother. I know she is inadvertent and she must be very sad to this tragic story. What's more, i have watched this video show and it was really tough to watch. i saw how sad this mother was , even she wanted to die. Her pain and guilt are apparent, she said she coud not forgive herself.
As far as i am concerned, i do not think this woman should get jail. There are two reasons for my view. On the one hand, she made this badly result because of changed daily routine. If she does things as usual, she will not leave her lovely baby. On the other hand, i know she has another daughter who is just five years old according to this video show. If she gets jail, that girl will lose her mother and can not grow up happily. In addition, this poor mother has have lost one of her baby, how can she stand lost another one? It's unfair to this mother, after all she does not want to leave her baby. Now she is so guilt and she said she was a bad mother. I think she will live with guilt forever and this is serious punishment for herself. So please give her another life with her five years old daugter.

Don't do that.

When the report came that a mother may be tried as she accidently killed her own baby by leaving her 2-year-old girl in a locked car which is close to 150 degrees, I was really shocked.
However, this issue left behind it an important question. Have the love from mother changed?
Nowadays, as the young generation are more and more self-centered, they may not really understand the true meaning of love. What they care most are just themselves. Another thing we should consider is that since the young are cared so much by their own parents and children are not so essential as they were in aicient times to a woman, they really may not really know how to look after a baby. Furthermore, from the story of the queen in Tang Dynasty, Zetian Wu, who killed her daugter in order to trap another wife of her husband, we can also conclud that sometimes people indeed love themselves most.
Despite of the three facts above, I am still fully convinced that the love from mother is the greatest in the world. I still remember the girl in the TV series ,Desperate Housewives , who hates to be a mother, turned out to be the saddest one when she had to be seperated from her new-born baby. So don't try the poor mother. No mother would like to kill her baby.
At the idea of putting that miserable mother into jail, no one would be happy.

What if it were a fish that died...

Imagine this, you are stressed and distracted by the heavy work and you forget to feed your fish. It dies and you are even sadder. Should you be put in prison simply out of your negligence? Of course no. And people wouldn't even care about this piece of news because it's about the death of a little fish.
Well, let's change this "fish" to "baby", everything is so different! This is what the news tells us.A lot of people have had a strong reaction to this and some even think this mother should get jail time. It's just the same plot with different characters. So I certainly think this woman shouldn't get jail time.
Maybe some people argue that it's wrong of me to change this fish to a baby for baby is a human. They are both creatures, anyway. The thing is, the woman is absolutely more grieved when it's her baby who died.

Don

Conviction is not for punishment but for reminding.

Brenda Nesselroad Slaby, the mother who lost her daughter in the back seat of her car, will be in an everlasting sorrow for what she did. The issue whether she should get jail time has aroused people’s concern. The people who hold the perspective she should not get jail time as she has already got punishment, losing her child. For this reason, she has already got rooted deep pain so send her to jail seems cruel at this time.
In my opinion, her “negligence” killed a 2-year-old girl anyway. She is deserved to get jail time. I don’t want to argue whether her behavior was “recklessly” and I do respect the Ohio law as well. But her conviction will not be a punishment, just like someone said, she has already got punished. I would like to say sending her to jail is a reminding more than a punishment.
If the court condemns Brenda as guilty, it will definitely lead a discussion on it. However this discussion is practically what we want. People concern about this, talk about this, so they would at least know her behavior led a tragedy. It’s not only a life and the broken hearts of the people who care about the girl. It’s a reminding for everyone in the society. When they receive the education on law or legislation, they would know, Brenda’s behavior is a crime. This would remind them in their latter life after they become parents.
So, Brenda should get jail time, not for punishing her, but for avoiding another tragedy.

Poor Mother

There is no doubt that this woman is responsible for what she did and obviously she paid for it. The death of her child must be a great hit for her and maybe she will be guilty for her lifetime, which is really a tough "punishment". After all, accidentally killing one's own child is a horrible thing for a mother.
From the questioning video recording, which is tough to watch, we can tell that she is very grieved and said she wanted to die and "good mothers don't do this". She said she is the most incompetent person on earth".
The main reason for the accident is that she changed her daily routine to drop off her daughter with the babysitter but went to buy donuts for her fellow teachers. "Just been doing too much. Trying to do everything for everybody"She said.
It should be noted that this mother has another five-year-old girl to take care of. If she went to jail, it would be inhumane for both her little daughter and herself. And I think the baby girl who died in accident also won't like the idea to put her love mother into prison.
In a word, I don't think this woman should get jail time. But we should try to figure out a way to remind those careless mothers of their left children in the car because there're lots of deaths cause by the "reckless conduct".

Fairy tales of Obama

From this article, i compared McCain and Obama hardly because i did not learn about anyone deeply before. Actually i get something important from this article. I know their supports , proposals and so on.
As far as i am concerned. i am in favor of Obama. First, he supports protecting environment and benefiting automakers. What's more, Obama is very concerned with education, he emphasizes importance of math and science. It is right because technology needs this kind of person who possess professional knowlege about math and science. In addition, he cares about children who have no money to attend school and i am inspired by his charity. Third, he is very humanization on marijuana, he is a honest person. He knows how people feel pain that their desires to get drugs. He also supports giving another chance to make first-time, non-violent offenders, it is very kind to them and it reflects his spirit of Democratic Party. Finally, he suggests a lot of practical plans for China, i think these plans will push China and America to more friendly position.
So this is the reason why i support Obama .

support Obama

In the American the politics is a such big things for them, depend on what kind the president they have, they will have different feature in the next four years. Right now in American elation at the first time of history they have black male in the elation to become a president, his in Democratic paty, and he is the one i will vote for. In other hand his comparere which John McCain is in the candidate paty the one i don't like. Anyway after i read this airticle i storgely agree with Obama, such as his position at on energy, education and marijuanna. Most the stuff he talk about i agree with him, that why i chosen him to become the president.

vote for Obama

First, I want to say that I'm definately no politics person and know nothing about it. Based on the material comparing policies and views of both Obama and McCain on different matters, if I were to vote, of course I would vote for Obama, like most people do.
Obama is black, as we can see. So if he becomes the next president, he would be the first black person as President. Actually, as a non-citizen of America, I really want to know what it would be like for US to have a black president. Well, that's just from my perspective.
More importantly, I would vote for Obama because of his policies. Simply consider details given on the material, it's easy to see that he seems more humane in many aspects. Plus, given his attitude towards China, no wonder I would vote for him if I could.

Obama, Go Go Go!

After reading the comparition between McCain anf Obama, personally speaking, I think Obama would be a better candidate for the next United States president.
First, Obama supports using more renewable energies and biofuel. As it is known to all, the waorld now is facing the problem of the sharp rise of oil price. So the renewable and biofuel is the best way to control the price and get rid of the crssis. But McCain claims to look at more nuclear possibilities. Nuclear will pollute the envirnment and threate the safety of human beings. I am against to use nuclear.
Second, Obama wants to make math and science education a national priority. The development of the economy cannot go without the advancement of the science. Also, math can shape our precise logical thinking. These two subjects are the most important. So they should be paid more attention to.
Last, Obama wants to enforce all standing trade agreements with China. It makes me happy indeed. It is the win-win situation for both America and China. What's more, China keeps peace as our credo. So it is ridiculous for McCain to concern about the boom of China.
Based on all above. I strongly support Obama. But it is a pity, I don't have the right to vote.

Mccain vs Obama, support Obama

Compare Mccain and Obama,it is very hard to make a choice for following year president. From Mccain's energy view, raising the energy is a good ideal to decrease american's driving rate, but it will not help a lot to decrease driving rate. Fromthe Obama's energy view, using more recyle energy is a very good ideal for energy saving. That will protect our global warming. Also, use bioful instead oil gas. That help support environment circlulatiobn. From, Education view Mccain has very good ideal for inventment money to school quality. But his range to big. Only specific for school to make choice. From, Obame on education view, I feel it is better ideal, Obame want make math and science grades better. That's very importan for the children in the US now. As I know, US science and math levels are lower average compare to the other country, but US is a modern county that's will decrease american economic and position on the world. So, I feel Obama is more understand american. I will suopport he.

Americans need a new face!

After reading the analyzing articles from the Wikipedia and the Washington post website, I prefer to vote for Barack Obama. The below are the reasons that favor my viewpoint.
First, from the personal formative experiences, it’s easily to find that Obama as a black from the common American family, he understood more about what the Americans in poverty need and what influences of the federal social policies with the public. Nevertheless, although McCain had a wonderful and honorable navy experience in the American military, his past as a prisoner of war in the North Vietnam for five and a half years will inevitable have a significant impact on his action in the future. From their positions is not hard for us to notice that the claims about energy and human rights, McCain pays more focus on the basic living right as a human being, he gives the public more choices, safety and freedom. But Obama’s positions are more realistic compared to McCain’s. Their attitude towards China which is the most important developing countries in the world is rather important to me. Because of his past as a POW, it’s more possible for McCain to take unfriendly actions to China.
Then, age should also be an significant part for a voter to focus on. That is not to say it’s too old for McCain to be the president, but, it’s not the right time for him to take that place. As we have already seen, the development of American’s economic is not as steady and fast as in the Clinton’s president period. Facing to the bankruptcy of LEH, the weakening of the American economics is rather apparent and it’s a better idea for the Americans to have a president who can take more active actions to the economics and have the courage to carry out the reform. From that point, I am sure Obama is more qualified for the position than McCain who is more likely to be conservative to the national economic reform and tough and stark to the other countries.
So in my mind, I would love to see Obama become the next president, and I’m sure about that!

Obama for President!

Not only am I of the opinion that it is time for Bush's politics, and therefore the Republican party to step back, and have the Democrats govern, but also do I prefer Barrack Obama's ideas and perspectives over John McCain's. Over all McCain appears to more concerned about the upper class, rich people, whereas Obama seems to better cover the middle class's needs, average people. For example, he believes that child care should be made more affordable, for in many families fathers as well as mothers need to work in order to maintain their family. Also, even though by admitting to have done drugs he might appear unprofessional, I believe it makes him look very honest, and just human, and many people may like that. However, I do have to agree with McCain that the use of Marijuana should not be legalized in the United States, and could lead to the use of more harmful drugs.
Furthermore, I like that Obama is worried about paying back debts, and enforcing trade agreements with foreign countries.

My choice is Barack Obama!

After reading the comparison between Mc Cain and Barack Obama, who should be a better candidate for the next United States president? I have to say an advised option for me is Mr. Barack Obama. The comparison is throughout the position on energy to position on China and it is also the fundament of my determination.
First, the position on energy, in this aspect I have two words to describe Mc Cain and Barack Obama respectively, realistic and Idealistic. The Mc Cain’s position is absolutely realistic because he focuses on the problem of rise in price of energy currently. As a result, he supports nuclear possibility which has already applied in the real world and the off-shore-drilling even though it is a contradiction to his earlier viewpoint on drilling. Whatever, Mc Cain’s position looks a little short-sighted. The Obama’s position seems better as he suggested a way to solve the energy problem in the future. Unfortunately, his position can hardly come into reality in a specific period. So they both have advantage and shortage in position on energy.
Second, the position on education, in my opinion the Obama’s position on this issue is more appropriate than Mc Cain’s. From reading the comparison, we can know “Mc Cain supports to empower parents by greatly expanding the ability of parents to choose among school for their children.” This perspective seems unreasonable as everyone should have the right to choose what kind of education they want. At least, choice for school should be a jointly determination by both parents and children.
From position on marijuana, the abuse in drugs like marijuana should definitely be forbidden. However, if we can’t find a more effective and safer way to relieve pain for patients in medical process, we don’t have sufficient reasons to oppose the use of marijuana for medical purpose. In this case, the Obama’s position seems more rational.
The last comparison between Mc Cain and Barack Obama in the article is the position on China. For me, both of these two candidates should consider this issue in a new way. The globalization is an inevitable trend. As China is a country with a large population and resources, simultaneously it successfully applied the market system. The China’s economic boom is undisputedly reasonable. If Mc Cain and Barack Obama have ever taken the course, International Economics, they will know the corporation and trade would benefit both parties ultimately.
In conclusion, after consider all above comprehensively, I regard Barack Obama as a better president candidate who would give America a better future!

McCain VS Obama

I felt a little disappointed after I read their positions on various political issues. It is Ok when it comes to the domestic issues, however, when it comes to the international topic, they both seem to be narrow-minded and short-sighted. If I have to decide which one could be a better candidate, I prefer McCain. I will present my reasons from different aspects as following shows.

Energy aspect. Obama’s plan is quite charming and environmental-polite at the first sight, but I think it lacks of practicality. I don’t think it could be so easy to phasing out incandescent light bulbs by 2014 considering the huge amount of bulbs and the widely use. To look into clean coal uses as a way of freeing the US reliance on the foreign oil is a temporary action to encounter the pressing energy shortage and could be very costly regarding on the potential R&D found. What’s more, the exchange with US automakers seem naĂ¯ve to me. It is not the political interference could make the hybrid production but the strong market economy to decide the way. It could be wiser to figure out some reforms on the economic system than merely using political actions.

Education aspect. Admittedly, the school vouchers have its side-effect in a certain way, but I believe the school vouchers ensure a larger flexibility for parents to choose a better school for children. Though the effect of market economy, the schools surely would spare no efforts on improving their education quality. That ultimately benefits the students and the whole education system. What’s more, the Obama’s idea of education seems elitist education. That’s could cause big unfair and social conflictions since the criteria on judging a student is high-quality or not could be various.

Marijuana aspect. I am really surprised someone could support the legalization of marijuana in this highly civilized society. I completely agree McCain’s idea that is a “gateway drug” that leads to use of harder, more harmful drugs. In contrast, the Obama’s idea seems naĂ¯ve to me since when considering the potential high possibility of drug abuse, his position on Marijuana obviously fail to hold water.

Position on China. I think they are both narrow-minded and short-sighted because they still use the “Cold War mentality” to deal with international relationship. It is better to seek a win-win relationship rather than set up a new enemy. The “China threat theory” is an excuse for US to enforce their military to me. The potential danger of new Army Race cannot be ignored. The China’s economic boom is inevitable tend, but it never could be a “concern” or a “threaten” to US.

To sum up, McCain does a better job than Obama in domestic issues, while they both lack of foresight when it comes to international affairs.

America needs change.

Armed with firmness,Obama didn't smile even when the audience supported him with thunderous applause and cheering during the speech of"Change We Need" on September 16,2008.If I'm an American citzen, I'll no doubt vote for him in the belief that he is decisive, brave, and practical.
Whether a candidate will be a good president depends on what he has done and will do instesd of what he has boasted about. In terms of energy, McCain wants to look at more nuclear possibilities while Obama has set clear goals about "phasing out the incandescent lght bulbs ". What big difference! Besides, when I surf on the internet ,I can easily find the Obama official website, whereas the McCain official website hasn't turned up to me yet! These small things can fully convince a girl as sensitive as me of his greater ability to be a president.
As an African-American, he was brought up knowing how important a role the hierarchy has played in today's social life and what the people from the middle class and even lower class need most. He must find himself a fish out of water surrouded by white men in politics. He comes from the difficulty, and has already had the achievement . America is in the difficulty, and will go to success by his firm leadership.
In fact, let's look at McCain's position. The idea that the millitary can play a role in influencing the current rise of China and Russia and promoting America's economy is woefully mistaken.Though the economy in China is indeed growing fast , it is still a developing country.Believing harmony the best policy from ancient times, will China be so sadly naive as to attack other countries instead of developing its own economy?.Look what practical things Obama has suggested. Though reducing the amount of debt held by Beijing may cause dissatisfication of China, the fact is that if America cannot recover from the economy depression, the whole world's economy will be affected .Obama has the courage to protect America's own interest and he will do it!

We need the change

The collapse of the Soviet Union changed the world order since WW II. And at the end of the Cold War, the world political structure turned from a bipolar to a unipolar superpower status. The United States became a leader of the world and no any other country can contend with it. However, with the recovery of Russia and the rising of China and India, there is something gonna happen to change the unipolar world.

It's obvious that Barack Obama's position is adapting the new trend, which is a wise choice. Anyone who tries to go against the trend of the world is doomed to fail.

Energy. The energy is limited though abundant. So developing renewable energy is crucial. John McCain's "drilling policy" is not a good way to solve the problem because it will not only consume the only resource we have but also bring about environmental problem.
Education.School vouchers put public school in a disadvantageous position due to the lack of money and it's not good for the working class. Another possible result it may lead to is that all kinds of "bad" students go to the public school because private schools become more selective with more applicants, which may lead to the abortion of public school and lapse of universal education. Obama's position concerned more about the working class and is for the fair of the society.
Marijuana.Limited use of Marijuana is necessary unless there's a better way to reveal the pain of people. It's quite humane. And it's important to "give first-time, non-violent offenders a chance to serve their sentence, where appropriate, in the type of drug rehabilitation programs" to let them know that they can still have a good life if they change rather than letting them feel they've abandoned, which may result in worse consequences.
China.Of course it's important to at least keep the trade agreements with China because it's somehing mutual-benificial--that's a good deal. And the reducing of US debt by China is reasonable because decline in the dollar exchange rate causes large amount of foreign exchange reserves owned by China evaporated alomost over a night. And the devolopment of China is beneficial to the United States and the whole world. On the contrary, John McCain wants to streghten the already powerful US army, which can only make China and Russia upset, which is not good for the peace of the world and is also against China's Harmonious World idea.

We need the change so we need Obama!

biggest achievement

I don't think I have any big achievement in life.
May be one time when I drove all the way to home.
I remembered it was late night and I just learned how to drive,
but I am not very good at direction, I was lost about a hour, then it was late mid-night
I locked someone's door, then this lady helped me, and I finally way back my home.
But it took a lot courage for me to lock someone door specially late in the night.
Finally I did ask and make my way to home. I am so thanksful that, this lady really help me and drawed me a direction.

Stop abusing fertility drugs

I am not against the use of fertility drugs, but I strongly object to abuse them.
As the article tells, the 27-year-old woman was pregnant with seven babies by using the fertility drugs. It was heralded by Egyptian doctors as a miracle. I think it is ridiculous to ask the doctor to make the woman concieve in order to have a boy. And it is also incrediable that the doctor used the drugs so easily. This story is the tragedy of abusing fertility drugs.
In my opinion, Fertility drugs can't be used to those who have had three or more children already in thier family and they still want a boy. They can't treat woman as inferior to men. It is the nature law that woman and man is relatively equal. If every family only want one gender, the population will have a sharp rise on the earth. Eventually, it will lead to the complete destruction of the nature. So there is no excuse for those people to use the fertility drugs.
However, for those who haven't have a child before and really need this kind of drugs to hlp them to have a baby. It s acceptable.
I think the solution to that problem is to control the produce of fertility drugs. And make certain law to limit the use of it.

no fertility drugs,please!

There are millions of strange things happening in the world at any time and this is one of them.
A 27-year-old woman having ten children with seven of them septuplets is really frightening. Plus, what's more frightening is that the septuplets were born out of the use of fertility drugs, which may do a lot of harm to the babies.
So I really think fertility drugs can't be used to help women conceive. For those women who are still fertile, try not to use drugs when still can conceive.Drugs are still drugs, babies born out of the use of drugs can't be 100 percent healthy babies. If you can't conceive, you can choose other solutions, such as adopting an orphan. Orphans are healthy babies. So why can't you be open-minded and adopt an orphan rather than having an unhealthy baby yourself.
I think since the septuplets are already in this world, what the family should do now is either try hard to earn money to raise ten children or ask the government or society for help. And I want to tell the septuplets that "Welcome to the world".

It's not the fault of using fertility drugs.

To the question of “should the use of fertility drugs be used to help women conceive?” I think the answer is positive. In the passage Alexandria got seven babies because of the fertility drugs and that gave a great pressure to her family, but we can not deny the positive and significant meaning of the fertility drugs to those who can not deliver a child and worry about the family support owning to the situation above.
But what we should be concerned about is how to make a full use of these drugs without the side-effects. The key is to depend on the doctors and the medical technology. The patients themselves just can make a decision about what they want to do, but they do not have the knowledge and experiences to know whether they are fit for the drugs including their physical status and the family’s economic conditions. So it’s the turn of the doctors and the medical technology. They must be mastered of the relevant knowledge about the fertility drugs and other related issues to make sure of protecting the safety of the patients and their families.

They should use fertility treatment rigorly

Wa, for a couple have three children already and still want a boy, at the end they get seven more children. That's miracle, they should have Iron Man's strong power to take care their family.
I total understand boy is more important than a girl. In other hand government should rigor their fertility treatment. That will not just help Ghazala family, it will help many poverty family. In Egypt government facing over population and economic decline problem. So, it's very important government to solve over population and fertility treatment.

Is it worth doing that?

When i saw this article, i was shocked by her. Just because of wanting a boy, she must spend more time and money on her septuplets now. I am wondering whether it is worth doing this mad thing. What's more, i know she has a poor family and she has had three daughters from this article.
As far as i am concerned, i can not say whether using fertility drugs to help women conceieve is wrong or right definitely. because if a woman can not give a birth to babies and she has no baby, i will support to her. In turn, if a woman just want to have a boy and use fertility drugs, i will be scornful of her behavior. In addition, i think it is against morality. As this article says it caused the family more poor. Moreover, i think it will affect governent and benefit premium. That is to say, the government will spent more on this poor family. Society maybe donating to them.
In a word, i want to say the use of fertility drugs should not be used to help woman conceive except they really have no babies.

Well,It depends.

When I saw the title that an Egyptian woman had septuplets as a result of the fertility drugs, I was pleased as there're so many women heartbroken for not being able to conceive after all. Being a mother means that a woman's life can be continued and colorful. There is a saying in China that a woman's life is not completed if she doesn't have a child. Thanks to these fertility drugs, a lot of women can realize their dream to be a mother.
However, when I take a close look at it, I 'm a little upset. It is disturbing to think they took this risk even though there are already three girls in their family and might be complications to the mother and the babies only because "they badly wanted a boy".Although I know there are still some sexual discrimination even in the most developed place in the world,it is still unbelieable for that Egyptian family to sacrifice so much . Is a boy really better than a girl?
Maybe next time doctors should think twice when a family wants to have fertility drugs only because they want a boy even though they've had three girls.

Taking so many risks just to have a son?

I think it's sad that Ghazala Khamis was forced by her morals and culture to take fertility drugs in the first place. It seems to me, coming from a more developed country, that it shouldn't matter if you have a son or a daughter as long as they are healthy, for over here both genders can be evenly successful in life.
Even though Mr. and Mrs. Khamis wanted a boy in their family, life would have probably been much easier for them raising just the three girls they already had. By taking the fertility drugs, Mrs. Khamis should have known (or been told by doctors) about the risk of having a multiple pregnancy or maybe even another girl instead of the desired son. Furthermore, like mentioned in the article, the Khamis own a home with only two rooms, and Mr. Khamis works just a few days of the week. Therefore they are going to have to face many difficulties such as not having enough space, food, and simply money to afford a ten people household. But hopefully they will be able to get some support from the government or maybe even someone who reads about their story.

Absolutely negative!

It is not only ridiculous but also dangerous to use fertility drugs to help women conceive. Using the fertility drug when the technology is still immature with potential dangerous can do very bad harm to the women. Considering the unbelievable burden that might cause a family into a miserable situation, the use of fertility drugs should be under strict surveillance. What’s more, the sexual discrimination plays a crucial role for the drug abuse. And that’s obviously against the human nature. This kind of sex discrimination is not a high civilization society should have. If there is no regulation or law for using fertility drugs, the population balance between men and women will inevitably broken down. The risk is too high to ignore.

Admittedly, there are also some circumstances that the fertility drugs could be used in a particular group. Such as women that have the bearing problem, it is reasonable for them to want to have a child though technological method. In this situation, I think after an appropriate applying process the fertility drugs could be used to help the desperate women and help them to enjoy a family life. Otherwise, I strong against the idea of using fertility drugs to help women to conceive.

What they need is not a sound boy, they need a sound attitude.

Good luck to this family

At first of all it is shocking to here this new. After i read this new I totally i understand them. In my country most people are prefer boy rather than girl. As a result in certain way it has damage the family life needed. Most time it will make people poorer than before when they don't have that many kids. My point is if you are rich or have enough money to support you childs, it is ok to have them, but is you don't have that much money to support you children, don't have it. Beside most the time when some one have that many kids in once time, that childrent are not as health as the normal childrent, accordingly to that you will need more money to support they health, beside as a father you want you kid be health. Anyway i think they can use fertility drugs to women, but only the women have enough income to support they kid or some women don't have any kids. besides the papulation are incress to fast, i don't know there is enough space for people live or what.

Anyway,it's not appropriate to give Mrs Khamis drugs

Nowadays, the fertility drugs used for helping women conceive is widely applied all over the world especially in developing countries. The reason is not that complicated-it’s absolutely cheap.
However, this kind of drugs is effective but risky, extremely risky. Because the use of fertility drugs may deduce the high-risk pregnancies as a multiple pregnancy and even have threats to mother and fetuses’ life!
From the article, we know the reality is Ghazala-the mother of septuplets is definitely not an infertile woman. She has already had 3 daughters and she is only 27 years old at the same time. So, to give a fertile woman fertility drugs, is an undisputed mistake! No to say her family is impoverished! At least in this case, it isn’t involved much with religion because everybody doesn’t want to see this woman suffering from her rest life with 10 children for lord’s sake!!
In the end, we have to do something to arise people’s caution about using fertility drugs especially doctor’s caution! Give a fertile woman that drug should be forbidden and be careful when prescribe fertility drugs. This drug may be an angel for infertile woman, but in turn, it would be a devil if doctors are not cautious enough!

Not the Sciene to Blame

Fertility drugs is used to help those infertility people so it's something good when it was invented. Science is supposed to help with the progress of human so it is not the science we should blame for the problems "it caused". Actually, it is us, who take advantage of the science should take the responsibility about how to use it.
In Khamis's case, she use the drug because she wanted to boy, not because she can not have children----she already have and THREE girls. But why she wants a boy? That's because girls in Egypt "can only inherit a portion of their father's money.""In many parts of Egypt, if she doesn't have a boy,it's as if she didn't have children at all."
Then why the doctor Abdel just gave Khamis the drug?I don't know. But the problem is when Adbel found their are nine heartbeats and advised Khamis to do fetal reduction she refused. I believe it's because of the religion though now they allow abortion. The former idea runs very deep into Khamis's mind.
So, it's obvious that it's other elements more than the fertility drugs that make the thing happen.
In a word, I think the drugs should be allowed to help people who really have problems while people should think twice before taking them.

No Matter How Small The Power Is, It Is Still A Support!

After reading this article, it makes me think a lot about the plastic debri and pollution. That's the effectiveness of their hard travel. So I strongly support this type of activity to raise awareness for different social problems.
Nowadays, people are getting used to hearing the normal way of propaganda about the social problems. It makes no sense to them at all. They just regard them as a piece of news and will pay no attention to them.
Therefore, the two men go to extremes and use a amazing way to draw attention of the public. They spent three months crossing the Pacific on a raft made of plastic bottles. It is hard to image how many difficulties they've met, like the food, storms, lonliness. I am sure that few people would risk their life in order to awareness social peoblems. But they did. They have a strong sense of the social reponsibility, which makes them have an adaenture like that.
I believe the public is deeply touched by them. They not only create a miracle, but also raise the people's attention successfully. Taht's a good way.

Yes, they made it. So what?

Yes, they made it. So what?
So they can raise awareness about plastic debris and pollution in the ocean as they wished? At least, I do not think so.
We only know it was tough and hard for them to sail all the way from California to Hawaii, but how tough? We can never know what kind of difficulties they overcame during the past three months because it is not us that went through the whole process, so how can we possibly know that how urgent it is to stop polluting the ocean? I think the people whose awareness had been raised are them. So the whole action doesn't make sense at some point.
Whether it works or not, who cares? Still, there are people working very hard figuring out some ways to catch other people's attention claiming that they want to raise awareness. Whether the awareness has been raised or not, let's see...

The wonderful activity

From this passage, i am moved by them. They are real heros and i think they get their goal. They do it so hard and pay more attention to social problems. I am inspired by them, so i support this type of activity to raise awareness.
Noadays, almost every ocean is polluted by garbage. As this passage says these debris finally will step onto dry land. It is terrible, i think . Because it will also affect humanbeings and threat people life. If we do not do something to prevent it, the world will be disappeared. These men creat a wonder, they make a great effect on people who are concerned about environment. I think it will motivate people to protect environment and do something usefull for this world. Somebody think they do meaningless thing, but i think it can attract many people paying attention to current. I believe many people will support them like me.
In a word, i understand the meaning what they do. So let's save this earth and do something helpful to this world!

Well done!!!!!!!

Nowadays people are getting more and more busy without being conscious that they are in fact misunderstanding the true meaning of life. There are instances when some people get lost, some are exploring, and the others are experiencing the true happiness for the simple reason that while some are too self-centered, some people know true happiness relies on how much you give to rather than how much you recieve from the others.
What invariably happens is that there's one kind of people who is always complaining everything in his life. They dislike their parents as they are not rich enough, get bored of their schools because they're not famous enough,or even be fed up with the environment they live.As a result, they give up, become more and more pessimistic, and even leave the world. The problem is why don't they do something to change those things?!There's always hope that the pollution will be less and less in our world. In fact, what we need is not only hope, but action. It is not only the scientists or cleaning staff's duty to do those things, but ourselves!
Imagine the tremendous excitement on board when the two men saw the people on the shore waving and cheering at them. What they do does not only add color to the dull routine of everyday life, but also a touch of green to our world. It also exerts a peculiar fasicination on us--Our life could be so meaningful.Few things can be more impressive than the happiness when we combine the different social problems and our everyday life together.Just do it.

Not the phase to do that already!

With reading the article carefully, I had a feeling that it’s another nonsense issue. Although the pairs and Savage aimed to raise the public awareness about plastic debris and pollution in the ocean through their trip, it seems that more people would like to take the news as another human heroic undertaking in a short time, rather than understand the real meaning of the action itself. That makes the whole hard process as a meaningless work.

I believe that after reading the news about their activity, many people would live as before and never think they would make some changes about their bad habits simply because there were three men crossing the Pacific on a raft of plastic trash and meeting a dozens of difficulties. The three men just raised an old but still unsettled completely question to the public without giving a useful solution to them. Most people will take an attitude that “It’s none of my business. And if you want to forbid us to using plastic, please tell us what we can do?”It’s a realistic question we should concern most about.

With a series of serious social and environmental problems around us, we have already got awareness of our responsibility to the whole world and human beings, but what we should do and what lifestyle we had better take is a confusing issue. In other words, setting up a stage for us to let us know what we should do in the future is the key point of the problem.

Does it make any sense?

Looking at the title and picture, my first reaction was smiling but with a little bitter feeling. I confess that what they did has already aroused people's concern or in another way-attention. However, the attention is absolutely not enough for solving the problem of debris and pollution in the ocean. Now, there are more and more publicities about environment protection they are everywhere on the TV, news papers and Internet. But do they have valid influence? The answer might not be positive. It seems that more people became numb with this kind of publicities and now it will be more difficult to change their attitude in wasting.
In addition, I do respect Marcus and Paschal for they both have a brave heart and I appreciate their concern with environment protection at the same time. They have a positive purpose that is to creatively raise awareness about plastic debris and pollution in the ocean. In my opinion, their behavior might not be most efficient and effective way for solving the problem. What we should do is to focus on education and finding means like some new application in technology to deal with pollution. The education I mentioned in last sentence is not the simple education like what Marcus and Paschal did to show how serious that the problem of pollution now but to tell the people specifically what damage would pollution lead. Maybe that's the key to this question.

Good Job?

With so much hard work they then, but absolutely meaningless and danger, it told me that if you want change something in the “world” you have to think carefully. Clearly we can see after the activity they innovation was accomplish, the infection of it is not as successful as what they predict, it did not help much to change people’s bad habit or ideal, most people still doing the same things they normally do . In other hand we can think better way to deal this situation, like study how to lead pacific evacuate fast, make some movie how that will affect us… Of cause I don’t have right to say that, unless I doing something to help the plastic debris and pollution in the ocean. Good job.

Très bien, hero!

My answer to this question is positive. Admittedly, it looks just like a show at the first look of the way the tow-man crew raising public awareness for social problem. And it is seems quite astonish to hear that there are someone would like to spend so much time and efforts merely to draw public attention to the plastic pollution problem. But after a comprehensive and deeper thinking, I believe there is a hidden rationality behind their seemingly impulsive activity.

Someone may argue that they just waste time on the meaningless things. They could use the time they spend on the journey to do much more meaningful thing. Such as hold a campaign to call the legislature attention, or to recycle the abandoned plastic bottles. That is more directly to change the environment and to improve the way we deal with trash.

But when those people judge their activity, I quite doubt weather they have ever do something good to ameliorate the fragile environment. The potential influence of their deed is maybe too profound and extensive to be ignored. The public may just curious about the extraordinary adventure at first, but after that they still may admire their brave spirit and determined attitude to change the unsatisfactory reality. The deed is sure a vivid and impressive education to everyone who hears their story. Can you think out something else that have a more far-reaching influence than a good education?

I appreciate their eye-catching way to raise public awareness of the social problem.

Good Job

I'm not surprised when I came across the news. There're many people around the world doing the same kind of thing to get their idea through.
Maybe some people think this is kinda extremist. Yes, it is. But I'm afraid only by doing something extreme can wake up the public and raise awareness for different social problems. Let's say a slogan was supposed to let people step back 3 steps, it usually turned out that people just back off 1 step. So in order to let people to step back 3 steps, you have to say"back off 6 steps"---something extreme. Actually, the public hasn't realized that what they are doing are also extreme to the nature. It really struck me when I read that when Eriksen and Joel were going to eat a fish but found its stomach full of plastic confetti.
If making a slogan or something like that doesn't work, we have to do some thing extreme to raise the awareness.

Maybe it's not one issue

I think there are two questions in the whole passage that we can't combine them into one issue. And the first one that we should mention is that Jericho did quite well in playing baseball,so that he is banned to play in the Youth Baseball League. But does that mean he is forbidded to play baseball anymore or there's something important in the sentence to be omitted, that is to say, Jericho as a skilled player is just not fit for the league just for the beginners?
Ok,let's see another sentences in the last part of the passage:
"This is not highowered league.this is a developmental league whose main purpose is to promote the sport. "
"League officials suggested that Jericho play other positions or against oldedr players or in a different league."
In my opinion ,the section above gives us two pieces of information. The first one is the Youth Baseball League of New Haven is mainly for the beginners;and the second is the officials suggested Jericho go to a higher-level league to play.
From the section above ,our thoughts maybe become cleared. It's not one issues that Jericho is banned to play baseball anymore, but means that he had better go for another high-level league that may be more suitable for him to promote himself. So if what I did above isn't a wrong speculation,I think the problem has been settled ,that is,it's a better idea for Jericho and the whole league that Jericho stops to play in the league and goes for a higher-level place. And then, as a result ,Jericho will get a better promotion about his skill and the other players in the Youth Baseball League will be practicing in a safe situation.

Stop the excuses and just let him play!

This piece of news, I believe, is a reminder of the darkness in society to me. It tells me that when someone gets power, he gets everything.
The real reason for why Jericho can't pitch, obviously, isn't the so-called he-pitches-so-fast-that-may-hurt-others one. What if he pitched for the defending league champion instead of a team sponsored by Will Power Fitness? I guess in that case this news wouldn't be reading by us right now. Instead, perhaps some local newspaper would probably write how excellent and gifted this nine-year-old could be and how wonderfully he pitched. No wonder his mother was irate and threatening.
League officials were always saying that Jericho pitched too fast that might end up hurting others, however, nothing like they said ever happened. And there was a protest at the league's field by players and parents urging the league to let Jericho pitch. Didn't the league officials feel themselves groundless to say what they've said since it was not convincing at all? Sometimes we can see how funny people can be...
It's not a problem that emerges recently. It has been a problem since the division of social status existed, not only in United States, China, but all around the world thoughout history of human beings. We can't blame it on someone because this isn't an individual's fault. What we should do is pray to God wishing we are not the victims of things like that...
As this thing finally exposed to public, I think this gifted child has already got his chance to play. So telling the media is also a good choice when we unfortunately become the victims. Once it attracts the attention of public, things will be the way they should be.
Well, this is what I got from this piece of news. However, since the words are written by a person, who can't be one hundred percent objective, I can't say that the fact is like this. But at least, I suppose the author is trying to make us think in this way.

Why not leave the team?

To discuss the conflicts between Jericho Scott and the Youth Baseball League comprehensively, we need to view the problem from both of their angle. Otherwise, it is really unsound draw any conclusion.

Admittedly, it is really a shame that the Youth Baseball League to force Jericho to leave the league just because his outstanding talent. There are absolutely no convincing regulations or rules say that anyone who fit the age cannot become a member of the league. And isn't it quite rude or even brutal to force a nine-year-old boy to leave the league and dismiss the team just because of his gifted ability? The harm to the innocent boy is inevitable and maybe to heavy for him to carry on his hobby.

On the other hands, there are some potential danger which promoted by the baseball league is reasonable to a certain term. Jericho did not hurt someone yet cannot lead to the conclusion that he will not hurt someone by his fastball. Other kids do have the possibility to get hurt.

It is not a surprise that Jericho's mom will be irate, but why do not take a consideration of the idea to let Jericho to leave the league? He could and surely will be in a better league for his development.

The reason why the conflict occurred just because we need to find a best way for Jericho to develop. And I do believe it is not a good idea for Jericho stay in the team.

Let he do it !

From this writing, I kow a boy who was stopped playing baseball , just because he pitched so fast . Is it a kidding ? That is to say , someone were stopped doing what they wanted because of too excellence .
I am against stopping the boy playing baseball . as far as I am concerns , if I like something , I will do it from begining to end . I won't let anybody make me do other things , just because I do things so well . I support Jericho to go on this sport . According this writing , I know he is very like and good at this sport , so we should encourage him to go on working hard and making a great progress in baseball . Above all , from words his coach said , Jericho never hurted any one in the past time , so he isn't a danger . If other teams walk off just because of afraiding his pitch , I think these teams are very bad , they can't take the challenge and they are real losers . On the one hand ,I think his mother is right that she allways encourage his son , I am moved by this .On the other hand , I don't like what League officials suggested , if they put Jericho playing in other positions , he will do it worse than the former time because he is not good at new position .
In a word , I hope Jericho can continue playing baseball . After all , he is a 9-yea- old boy , we can't do something that may hurt his young heart .

After I read this article I think in a certain way the kid and adult make wrong dictions, especially the parent. In Jericho Scott parent they threatening the other team and vowing to get the league shut down, it is bad behavior doing in front the children; also giving the kid wrong lesson to deal this kinds situation. On the other hand the coach and other team player's parents are told the kids quit the game. Because Jericho Scoot are playing, too strong to them, they cannot win, no one having fun... It is hilarious, this is not that everybody gets a feel-good trophy, it is competition, and I think "to be the best you've to beat the best". For the kid, he had great gift for God. He is above average for 9 year old, but similar to 11 or 12. But if he smart enough he play same level as and find his hidden potential. I think he should play, but play with people skil level same as him.

What should we do for Jericho?

As a nine-year-old boy, Jericho definitely hasn't acquired a psychological maturity! That is why to disband the Jericho's team will be an absolutely ridiculous choice as it will lead children not only in the Jericho's team but also the entire league and every child who has known about this to a vague direction that whether they should try their best to unlesh their talent extremly. If the league makes this decision the impacts would be sensational as Jericho and his teammates are innocent! To punish a people for being well-performanced is parctically unfair especially give punishment on a nine-year-old child!
On the other hand, the anxiety of the children's parents from other teams can also be understanded. All in all the ball's speed which Jericho pitched is too fast for the children just as the beginning players, despite Jericho had never hit any batters before.
So, what should we do for Jericho? It is evidently necessary to encourage a person to develop his potentiallity of their talent. So we should give Jericho some special conditions for he has gift in baseball instead of disbanding the team. Let Jericho make decisions by himself for the position on the baseball field instead of giving restraint to him. Maybe soon Jericho will paly in a upper league and became a star of baseball game and he can play with his firends just for fun at the same time!

Why not?

Looking at the title,I am really surprised. It is disturbing to think that a person would be punished as a result of his excellence.I'm now fully convinced of the fact my mother has told me that you'll fall if you stand TOO high!
In fact,I don't think Jericho is in no way to be blame. He should also consider the feelings of others.Such is human nature, that a person don't care about others unless he gets punished by others.Take care!God closed a window when he opened a window.
However,it does not mean that the officials can go to extremes to forbid him pitching.I see no reason for a person to stop doing what he likes and good at.Imagin the wrath when you were told you cannot have a girlfriend because you're too handsome. They should be responsible for the development of Jericho's baseball life. They can send him to another team better for him. I suppose that's the best policy.

Let Jericho play

It's not surprising if someone cannot play baseball. But it will be surprising if it's because someone is too good to play. It's more surprising that this is HAPPENING.
Baseball is a sport game and every game has its rule. If someone broke it then he got penalty. Otherwise, it's not reasonable. Jericho didn't break any single rule so there's no reason not letting him play. It's really ridiculous not to let Jericho play just because he's too good. If so, all the other swimmers have an excuse to have Michael Phelps out of the Olympics this summer.
Telling a 9-year-boy that he is too good to do something he likes is really cruel. 9-year-old, it's a crucial time for a child to explore and develop his own interest. It's quite important for a child to establish his confident which is of great significance on his later life. However, now the League is doing the opposite. The controversy hurts Jericho and he felt it was his fault nobody could play. This kind of thought is fatal to a child's psychological health. It's not exaggerating to say the League is ruining a child and committing a crime.
So, maybe it's OK to let Jericho play in a different league or something, if he agrees. But it always be wrong to not let him play.

America

Although many people told me that America is very different from China before I came here,I still don't see much difference.Maybe it is because I've seen a lot of movies or I've had an American teacher or maybe because I've always been with the Chinese friends here.
The hardware such as the buildings and the facilities here are obviously better than that in China. The things here are also more expensive than than that in China.
However, people here are similar to people in China. Some are friendly, some are not. Some are arrogant, some are warm-hearted and some are trying to be a member of the other group. It is the same in China. After all,we are all human beings.I think I haven't seen the real American culture, but I'm trying my best to get into it.And I know a lot of people are helping me.

Experience America

About a week before, I got on a plane which took me all the way from China to America. When I got out of Newark Liberty Airport, my first impression on America was that the sky was really blue! And I kept saying that again and again. Then we went to New Jersey to stay for the night because it would be too late for us to drive to MU. The house we stayed in is totally different from what I've been living in back in China. The family was really good to us.
Two days later, we were eventually on our way to MU. It took us more than 4 hours.

When we arrived here, everyone is kind and concerned. I still remember when we were standing before DOLLAR GENERAL after shopping, an old lady came to us saying" I know that you are from different parts of the world, but welcome to Mansfield!" with a smile on her face. I was feeling warm. And I can feel that every day here. Sometimes, just a smile, a nod or a "hi" can always bring me back to home.

study in America

I study in America now.when I came here at first time, I was very excited. I looked around when I got anywhere. I said HELLO to anyone who smiled to me. Students from Mansfield are all friendly. Some people offer to help me sometimes, even I didn't know their names. Mansfield University has a safe and beautiful environment, so I can study with this recourse here. There are many excellent professors and students, so I can learn much which I can't get in China.
Today I had two classes, and this is my first time learned from foreign teachers. I was very sad because I cound't understand what they said. I wanna develop my English level , so I take the ESL class. I hope I can have a progress from this class. Teacher from this class is very kind , she often plays jokes with us, I like this class.

What do i think of Mansfield?

The first time i went to Mansfield is in last year. It is pretty samll when saw it, but i like it, because i uslly lost in big place. At that day i remenber i meet a very great person, he is friendly, nice to everyone, and tall. Soon we became friend, i follwd him all the time, at those time he make some new friends too, also at that night we sit together and talk a lot of stuff. We have great time, on the second day we still hand up together and make some new friends, them later on we both our own home.

Breathtaking!

The first impression I got about U.S. is at the airport. Then I have stayed in New Jersey for a couple of days. The house that the American live is quite different from China, which I think is very cute. The street is clean and tidy, every thing is in order. In these two days we have a little trip to NY. I found that the city is like a larger UN. I mean there are so many people from various countries and with different colors. Another thing that I am very happy to find is the Americans are always very helpful and frendly. They greet people with a sunny smile and really very polite, that's a kind of formal way that we Chinese not often use. But with peer group they do have another way to greet people. My roommate is a funny guy. Every time I came into my dorm he always say hi to me like this:"what's up,man."or "Hey budy, how are you doing!" I am so surprised to find the Hip-hop style of greeting people in the young people of American!

Talking about the faculties in MU, I am really appreciated their warm-hearted help and really helpful suggestions. Every and each teacher in MU is so enthusiastic about their jobs and duties. This sense of accountability is the secret of the flourish of U.S., I believe.

Everything goes well and it's wonderful here!

After almost 13 hours' flight, I am in the US at last on Aug.19 .During the trip to Emily's apartment ,I really find it exciting. The highways are clean and the scenery along is quite wondreful! It seems that we Chinese are a little weird for the American pass by.But fortunately, I am not frightened at all.Everything goes well. Emily's family are quite friendly to us and they showed us the different sorts of bread ,but I think the names are so difficult for me to remember that right now I forgot everything about them except the flavor!!!

Then Dr. Madigan drove us to the MU,and it's a long trip. But at the same time ,it's quite spelendid outside the window.Oh, by the way, Dr.Madigan is such a nice guy that I have never seen. He's kind-hearted and helpful,so that I don't feel homesick at all.And Christy is also a quite nice lady. Also, most of the American here are friendly to us and all above makes me feel cofident while being here.

The schedule is a little tough, and I'am just wondering whether I should drop some of them .And now I hope I can handle them well.

Impression of the America

I arrived in the Unite States of America in 19 auguest, 2008 and I thought America is a busy country at the first sight cause there were a large numbers of people at the Newark airport. The first night in the America seemed too long because I extremly missed my family as this is the first time I have been aborad.
But soon, the kindness and warmheart of the Compell's family affected us. They treated us a typical American dinner and we enjoyed that. Everyone were so happy and showed their curiosity about everythings they had never seen begore. All of us were happy there and it seemed the laughter from the table flew to my home to my family.
That is the first impression the American people showed us that they are so friendly and it will be an abusolutly unforgetable experience for my life to cherish.

Friendly Americans

Studying abroad alone is really a challenging thing. Because I may suffer a lot from loneliness, homesick and so on. Actually I have been worried about it at first. But when I arrived at America. I felt everthing around was familiar. Mansfield University is just like my second home. When I walked into the building, everyone said hello smiled to me. When I went to shopping, the local people came to me and said: I know you are new here, I wish you can have a good time in Mansfield." After hearing that, I was deeply touched by the hospitality and kind people here. It makes me feel like going home.
My roommate is also very nice. He really impresses me because of his excellent table tennise skills. I've thought that Americans are not good at small size ball sports. But he totally changes my idea. I'm happy to be a dormate of him.
In a word, I really fall in love with this country and the people here!

Feeling about the USA

How to describe my first impression about America?Exciting? boring? or strange?
I don't know.
It is certainly a strange place to me 'cause I've never been here before and that's also the reason why I find it quite exciting to study in America. But that's not totally the truth 'cause I've seen lots of pictures about the state and about Mansfield. And thanks to the culture class I took in my freshman year, I haven't experienced any big culture shock till now.
I think the people here are very friendly. They'll say hello to me even we don't know each other, which is not common in China---only people who're familiar with each other will greet when they meet.
The food here is good owing to the variety. The only problem is that there're not a lot of kinds of vegetables and the fruit here is expensive, I think. One more thing, the Chinese food here is really different form that in China, you should believe that!
I think the dormitory is cool. It's big and there're only two people in it, although my roommate think it's a little small. So I'm sure it'll drive him crazy if he lives in a dorm of Chinese university, a small room shared by 6 to 8 people. We also can have a refrigerator. It's really cool.
Generally speaking, I like this place and hopefully I'll enjoy the 2-year life here.
